Shine Ministry
"You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven."
-Matthew 5:14-16

Be Generous and Ready to Share
By Dena M. Hall

Have you ever been given a present
And put it aside to be opened another day
No, I think you were so excited
That you had to open it right away
So why do we do this
With the gifts our Good Lord gives
Even though we know if we open it
It makes us happy and helps others to live
Maybe it's because we don't recognize these gifts
Often seeing them as a curse
Because things aren't the way we think they should be
Even though they could be much worse
Still others aren't happy with enough to get by
Who can never be satisfied
So they are always in search of more
And what they have they hide
We often overlook the greatest gift He gave
Thinking they are only things we can touch
Which is the gift of His Son
Because He loves us so much
For He wants us to Be Generous And Ready To Share
Not just our possessions, but talents, too
And not to do it because we want more
But because it's the right thing to do
