Shine Ministry
"You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven."
-Matthew 5:14-16

Come To Hear Jesus
By Dena M. Hall

So many gathered around Jesus
To hear Him speak that day
Yes, everyone heard Him
But did they actually listen to what he had to say
For it's not just when Jesus was speaking
Giving His sermon on the mount
We hear His words every Sunday
But do we go out and make them count
Do we plant our trees by the Living Water
Where their roots will never thirst
Or do they try to thrive in a dry place
As we keep putting ourselves first
We must act out of love
Not seeking a reward of material things
Just because we're grateful Jesus died for us
And we are satisfied with the joy it brings
So when we hear Jesus
We have to let His spirit live inside
So He can minister through us
And show others His Spirit never died
