Shine Ministry
"You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven."
-Matthew 5:14-16

We Are Witnesses
By Dena M. Hall

Bailiff: Here ye, here ye. Come to order for the case of Infidels vs. Jesus. All rise for the honorable Judge _______. (enter _______ and go to podium)
Judge: You may be seated. We continue today in the case of Infidels vs. Jesus. Defense, it is your turn to present your case.
Defense: Thank you, your honor. Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, we are here today on behalf of our defendant Jesus, The Christ, to convince you that He does exist and He is there for you if you just accept Him. The prosecution will try to raise doubt in you (as his client does every day). So please keep in mind the testimony that you are going to hear today whenever you feel lost, afraid, or hurt. At that, I would like to call to the stand my first witness, _______ (Witness comes up and sits in the chair)
Judge: Please bring forward the Holy Bible. (bailiff brings up bible)
Bailiff: _______, place your hand on the Bible. Do you swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help you God?
Witness: I do.
Defense: Ok _______, as I already said in my opening statement, we're here to convince the jury that Jesus is real and He is here for us. Please, in your own words, describe for the jury a time when you felt lost, afraid or hurt and Christ revealed Himself to you.
Witness:(give a testimony) So that's why I believe Jesus is real.
Prosecution: Objection! Hearsay your honor!
Judge: Overruled. (prosecution looks disappointed)
Defense: That is all, your honor.
Judge: Prosecution, you may cross examine the witness.
Prosecution: Thank you, your honor. Okay, ______. I guess there is one important thing missing from your testimony. You say that Christ revealed Himself to you, but you never saw Him. Is that true?
Witness: Yes
Prosecution:(with a sneaky grin) Okay then, _______. If you never actually saw Him,then how do you know He exists?
Prosecution:(defeated) Oh, I see.
Judge:Anything further, prosecution?
Prosecution:(sad) No your honor. Prosecution rests.
Judge: Defense, do you wish to make a rebuttal?
Defense:Yes, your honor. So _______, tell the jury again how you knew Jesus revealed himself to you, even though you never actually saw Him.
Witness: Faith
Defense:(smugly) Defense rests, your honor.
Judge:Case dismissed.
